Michael Jeffrey “goldfish boy” Cohen, a proud alum of CSz Chicago and CSz Philly, is thrilled to score the hat trick with the awesome CSz NYC.
A Philadelphia native, MJC graduated from The Second City Conservatory in Chicago. He was a student of Del Close at ImprovOlympic (now iO), where he performed on the house team Mr. Blonde. After enduring one too many Chicago winters, he trained and directed Philly’s first long-form improv group, Lunchlady Doris. NYC improv credits include Jonathan Maximus Rockenstern Presents (musical improv, People’s Improv Theater), CON and The Class Of… (Magnet Theater), and Off The Top (Gotham City Improv). Last summer, he had the time of his life at Artistic New Directions’ master improv retreat in the Catskills.
When he’s not typing the word “improv” seven times in one paragraph, he’s usually listening to music and/or eating seafood. If you steamed too many Maryland-style blue crabs and you don’t know what to do with them, MJC will totally take them off your hands.
