Erin Leigh Schmoyer is an actor/comedienne, who hails from Mountaintop, PA. Since landing in NYC post-graduation from Sarah Lawrence College and The British American Drama Academy, she has been featured at dozens of Off and Off-Off Broadway Theatres, including The Metropolitan Playhouse, LaMama, Culture Project, Theatre for the New City, the Milagro and the Workshop Theatre, as well as appearances at international festivals and various comedy clubs throughout the tri-state area. Recently, Erin Leigh collaborated with writing partner (and fellow CSZer) Alicia Barnatchez to co-create and co-star in the critically-acclaimed musical-comedy, Ye Elizabeths, at the Bleecker Street Theatre. Along with winning festival awards for “Best Overall Production of a Musical” and “Best Book of a New Musical”, the production was named #4 on BroadwayWorld.com’s Top 2012 New York Theatre Experiences. She studied improv with Christine Farrell at SLC and Mick Barnfather of London’s Theatre Complicite, among others and has been a performer with ComedySportz NYC since 2006. Erin Leigh works as a freelance creative thinker and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
